Seca on the move!

Seca has balanced, flowing movement and is always an eye catcher when in the ring. When he's at home, I couldn't ask for a more wonderful companion and great boy to live with!

The road to Seca's championship was a very short and sweet one. He finished in six months, from first points to last. His first points were a major under breeder/judge Claire Chryssolor (Anasazi Salukis) in October of 2007 at the Del Valle Kennel Club show's saluki supported entry (5 points) at 18 months of age. He finished his title at the Western Hound show in April of 2008 under judge Lori Nelson (Wildfire Whippets) just a week after his second birthday. Seca also won two other majors, both at specialties: Central Arizona Saluki Association in February 2008, under judge Robin Riel and at the San Angeles Saluki Club Specialty show in April of 2008 (the same weekend he finished) under sighthound breeder/judge Norman Strathdee.

Seca on the run!

At his only hunt attended in the 2008/2009 coursing season, Seca won second place in a field of good, tough, seasoned hounds! I am really looking forward to getting him out to a few more hunts this coming season if field conditions and hares permit. He's a very powerful boy and shows excellent coursing potential!

Seca wins his second specialty!

On February 20th, 2011 at the Saluki League of Southern Arizona show, Seca won his second Best in Specialty Show under judge Jayne Pyatt of the UK. This time I proudly owner handled him to the win in the rain and he never let down, despite the conditions.

On June 10th, 2011, on a very hot and humid day in Lexington Kentucky, Seca won Best of Opposite Sex at the Saluki Club of America National Specialty under breeder/judge Stephen Wailes of Australia
(Lamaan Salukis)!
He defeated over 150 dogs with this win and continues his consistent appearances in the winner's circle at specialty shows and supported entries. He now has three Best in Specialty wins to his credit and numerous Best of Opposite Sex, Select and Award of Merit accomplishments.
He is truly a breeder's Saluki!

Seca wins Best of Opposite Sex at the National!
Seca moving out at the National

Seca is pictured moving out in the ring while being judged at the 2011 SCOA National Specialty where he earned his Best of Opposite Sex win. Despite the heat, he kept on showing himself to advantage and I couldn't be more proud of my "Spotty Boy" for giving it his all. Not only has Seca been a joy to show and run, but he is such an easy going, loving companion. What more could a breeder ask for?
